Privacy policy

Last updated: 11 July 2026

Plaece Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our") trading as Plaece Labs respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information of visitors to plaecelabs.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have in relation to it.

This policy is prepared with reference to the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Where visitors are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, we also apply the relevant protections of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as described below.

2. Personal information we collect

Depending on how you interact with the Site, we may collect:

  • Contact and enquiry information you submit through forms on the Site (such as name, email address, and message content), for example when you use a "Let's Chat" or "Let's hop on a call" form.

  • Newsletter subscription information, being your email address (and optionally your name), if you choose to subscribe to updates from us.

  • Usage and analytics information collected automatically via cookies and similar technologies, including pages viewed, time on site, referring source, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from IP address. This is collected through Google Analytics 4, deployed via Google Tag Manager.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive information (such as health information) through this Site. Please avoid including sensitive details in enquiry forms or messages to us.

3. Cookies and analytics

The Site uses cookies to operate and to understand how visitors use it. Essential cookies are needed for the Site's basic functionality. Analytics cookies are only set once you provide consent through the cookie banner shown on your first visit.

We use Google Analytics 4 (via Google Tag Manager) to understand visitor behaviour. Analytics and advertising-related consent signals default to "denied" and only activate once you accept them through the cookie banner. You can change your preference at any time by reopening the cookie banner (available via the site footer) or by clearing your browser’s cookies for this Site.

For more information about how Google uses data collected through Google Analytics, see Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and “How Google uses information from sites that use our services” (policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).

4. How we use your information

We use the personal information we collect to:

  • respond to your enquiries and communicate with you;

  • send you newsletter content, if you have subscribed — you may unsubscribe at any time;

  • understand and improve how visitors use the Site;

  • comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Who we share information with

We may share personal information with:

  • service providers who help us operate the Site and communicate with you — for example Google (Analytics and Tag Manager), our website hosting provider (Framer), and our email/newsletter provider;

  • professional advisers, regulators, or authorities where required by law.

These providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

6. Data security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.

7. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you may request access to, and correction of, personal information we hold about you. If you are located in the EEA or UK, you may also have rights under the GDPR, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and the right to withdraw consent (such as for analytics cookies) at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@plaece.io.

8. Complaints

If you have concerns about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first at hello@plaece.io so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, Australian residents may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
